DPDT & SPDT SLIDI SWITCH :- Slide Switches are an electromechanical device used to control current flow in a circuit path. Devices in this family are actuated by sliding a mechanical switch. The characteristics are circuit, contact timing, switch function, current rating, voltage rating (AC or DC), and actuator type.
A slide switch is a bi stable two-position switch and is used to control the current flow in a circuit. It can be closed or interrupted by moving the switch. A slide switch can also be used to connect two further circuits to an existing one and to connect them optionally.
The types of switches are classified into four types namely:
- SPST (Single Pole Single throw)
- SPDT (single pole double throw)
- DPST (double pole, single throw)
- DPDT (double pole double throw)
